Q. How is data kept without sign-up?

ottline uses Local-first technology. All records are first stored in your browser's internal storage (IndexedDB). Your data remains safe as long as you use the same device, even without an account.

Q. Can I see my records on a different device?

Yes! By entering the Pairing Code issued in the [Account] menu into a new device, you can continue to see your records. Data from multiple devices will be merged into one.

Q. How is data merged after pairing?

If there are records for the same title on both sides, the most recently updated content remains. This naturally keeps your timeline up to date without losing records.

Q. How do I delete records?

Individual record deletion is not supported, but you can remove synced account data at once in Settings > Delete All Server Data. If you only want to clear the current device, use Settings > Reset Local.

Q. Can I download my records?

Yes. You can download a CSV file in Settings > Export My Logs and organize it in Excel or Spreadsheets.

Q. Is there a usage fee?

ottline provides all features for free. Just focus on the joy of logging!
